Kanada Hockey_Prep School Showcase

For the past seven years we have sent the Lac St Louis Tigers to the Prep school showcase that is operated by Kanada Hockey and we have been very pleased with the results. We place players at schools every year, watching our annual alumni game is great with the Deerfield, St. Paul's, Westminister, Tabor, Northwood, St. Andrew's College, Berkshire, Exeter and other schools equipment skating in our game... these kids have new opportunities for higher education...we are now seeing our guys committed to Harvard, committed to Brown...committed to RPI....top D-1 schools...and it all started here with the Kanada Hockey Showcase and Prep School Night...

A couple of kids that have gone on to bigger things since their appearance at the Prep School Showcase

Louis Leblanc, Kirkland resident and presently playing for the Omaha Lancers played in the 2005 Prep School show case. Louis was recently selected as the number 10 prospect in the world for the upcoming NHL entry draft in June 2009 and was a member of the 2008 Team Canada that won the Ivan Hlinka Tournament gold medal in August of this year...Louis has committed to Harvard University for the 2009 season.

Laurianne Rougeau, also played in the 2005 Prep school Showcase, recently captained the U-18 Team Canada, suited up for U-22 Team Canada and received an invitation to the National team this year....Laurianne was a member of the Lac St Louis Tigers

Simon Despres Bellevance, number 1 selection in the 2007 QJMHL draft, was a team mate of Louis Leblanc in the 2005 Prep |school Showcase...Simon plays for the Saint John Sea Dogs and was a member of the 2008 Team Canada that won the Ivan Hlinka Tournament gold medal in August of this year

New Management Added

Terry Pye, who has operated the showcase and prep school night, has added some new blood in the management of the events...Greg Orsini and his supporting staff has come on board to provide new opportunities for the student-athletes that are getting involved..." Terry has done a tremendous job of making this event work for the kids looking for opportunities in Prep schools...we are adding some technical support and man power, we are bringing some new features to the event like video and more staff will be able to help and guide families to the schools that are the best fit for the student...
