For the past 12 years, Kanada Hockey's Prep School Showcase has been the launching point for student - athletes (hockey players) to meet and discover the Prep school of their choice. Prep schools, of course, provide a smaller class size, significant increase in hours of academic support from dedicated academic advisers...at all prep schools..and the specific preparation required for US College...a special note here, the new NCAA clearinghouse rules and requirements are making it more attractive to attend Prep school before graduating high school in Quebec...make sure to ask an academic adviser about these recent changes...  

We are hosting our Prep school showcase games at the Pierrefonds Sportplexe November 24th with the boys games scheduled between 12:00-5:00pm and the girls (open game) between 1:00-2:45pm and  two Lac St Louis Elites vs. Selects games 6:00pm (Bantam AA) and 6:15 pm (Midget AA).

The Prep school Night has been moved from the Dorval Hilton to the Pierrefonds Sportplexe to provide students and their families  a wider time frame to meet schools and discuss the opportunities that may exist at each school.

Due to the decision to change the age groupings in Quebec, many players who would otherwise be in more visible levels will need this opportunity to show case their abilities.

The registration fee for players interested in playing in the game is $100. There will be three games for the boys:

12:00pm-1:30pm Midget Espoir
1:30-3:00pm Midget Espoir
3:00-4:30pm Midget AAA/AA

There is a wide variety of schools attending the show case and this variety lends itself to providing a school for each individual's needs and comforts  ...which leads us to provide you a significant piece of advise...it is not the significance of the brand or reputation of the school that determines the fit for your child, it is the connection that your child feels with the environment, culture and setting of the school that dictates the school for your child... afterall, they are the ones attending for the school!

As you know, every hockey organization is proud of the players that they developed that reach the NHL, however, they are just as proud of the doctors, lawyers, dentists, engineers, bio-chemists and investment bankers that they generate by developing  their hockey skills to open opportunities for their education which, otherwise, might not exist.
