School Search

Kanada Hockey was originally associated with Patti Crowe of Ivy League Darmouth College for five years in the recruitment of female players for prep schools.  These early sessions were held at the Montreal Amateur Athtletic Association (MAAA) in downtown Montreal.  Patti's increasing duties of coaching women's hockey at Dartmouth and running the summer hockey school led her to hand over the reins of the Montreal venue to KANADA HOCKEY.

With the opening of the ultra-modern 4-pad Pierrefonds International Sportplex, it was decided to inaugurate hockey matches in the afternoon for Midget girls and boys to run in conjunction with the School Fair being held in the evening, a move that proved popular with the schools and the families interested in exploring the prep school route.  From an initial 12 schools at the outset it has now built up to 28 schools that attended last year (2006).

Terry Pye's business career in the management of human resources as Recruitement Specialist at Domtar, Employment Manager at Bank of Montreal, and as a corporate headhunter affords him a breadth of background in the counselling and placement of student-athletes.  At Domtar he managed the campus recruitment for newly-minted engineers, while at Bank of Montreal he managed both undergrad and MBA campus recruitment drives.

He is a firm believer and fully committed to the students-athlete concept, and of using one's athletic abilities to further enhance educational opportunities and challenges in the developent of the total person.  Families are invited to contact him for guidance and advice at any stage of the placement process - testing (SSAT, TOEFL), financial aid, school visits, interview process, final selection.
